TWINS UPDATE

They are 23-35 on the road, but won both games of a weather-shortened series in Chicago in April, already equaling their victory total at U.S. Cellular Field of a year ago (2-7). ... Friday's first game was originally scheduled for April 19 but was postponed by cold weather. It's the first of eight games with the White Sox over the next 10 days, including four at Target Field next weekend. ... Friday's doubleheader is the third they have played in 2013; they split a pair at home against Miami on April 23, and they were swept in Washington on June 9. ... They are 10-6 against Danks in 22 meetings, and 1-0 in three against Quintana, but they never have faced Leesman or Rienzo. ... Hendriks' stay with the Twins will be short; he joins the team as the 26th man allowed, by MLB rule, during doubleheaders. Hendriks, 0-2 with a 4.05 ERA in two career starts against Chicago, will return to Rochester after his start. He is 3-8 with a 5.12 ERA in Class AAA.

WHITE SOX UPDATE

They completed a three-game sweep of the Yankees on Wednesday, but had lost the previous 10 games, 13 of their past 14, and 27 of 35, to fall into last place in the A.L. Central. ... The White Sox have scored 411 runs, fewest in the American League. ... Adam Dunn ranks fifth in the American League with 26 home runs, and third in the league with 125 strikeouts. He has 432 career home runs, 43rd all-time and two ahead of teammate Paul Konerko. Dunn's 2,156 career strikeouts are fourth most in major-league history, behind Reggie Jackson (2,597), Jim Thome (2,548) and Sammy Sosa (2,306).
