They are 15-23 on the road and have lost eight of their past 10 away from home. ... This is the start of a 10-game road trip, longest of the year, entirely against the AL East. They are 6-11 against the East. ... They have lost three straight games, and seven of their past eight, at Rogers Centre, and have not won a series in Toronto since 2005. They have not won the season series against the Jays since 2005, either. ... Scott Diamond, who grew up in Guelph, Ontario, about 50 miles from Toronto, is 1-1 against the Blue Jays with a 1.50 ERA in two career starts.

BLUE JAYS UPDATE

They are 23-20 at home, having won seven of their past nine games at Rogers Centre. But they remain in last place in the AL East. ... They rank second in the AL with 108 home runs but are only fifth in runs. DH Edwin Encarnacion is third in the AL in home runs (23) and RBI (66). ... Mark Buehrle is 27-19 in 49 career starts against the Twins. ... R.A. Dickey, the 2012 NL Cy Young winner, went 4-7 in the season’s first two months but has won three of his past four. ... Chien-Ming Wang was originally supposed to start Sunday, but the Jays designated him for assignment after he allowed 13 runs in his past two starts.
