MORNEAU'S HIGHS AND LOWS

As Twins first baseman Justin Morneau enters the final year of a six-year, $84 million contract, he is uncertain whether 2013 will be his final season in a Twins uniform. Here are some of the highs and lows of his career:

2006: Won the AL MVP Award after batting .321 with 34 home runs and 130 RBI for the AL Central champion Twins.

2008: Played in all 163 games for the Twins, driving in 129 runs and hitting .300.

2010: Was hitting .345 with 18 homers and a career-best 1.055 OPS when he was injured in a July 7 game at Toronto. Morneau was diagnosed with a concussion and wound up missing the rest of the season.

2011: Still feeling the impact of the concussion and other maladies, he was limited to 69 games and hit .230 with four home runs.

2012: Played in 134 games, at times looking like the Morneau of old. He hit 19 homers and batted .267.
