TWINS UPDATE

The Twins played exhibition games at Coors Field in 1996, but tonight will be their first regular-season game there. They are 106-86 all-time in interleague play. They went 11-7 last year after going 16-2 in 2006. ... Without the designated hitter, manager Ron Gardenhire said Jason Kubel likely won't start in Colorado but would be an obvious pinch-hit option.

ROCKIES UPDATE

Oh, how the defending NL champs have fallen. With their 8-5 loss at Arizona on Thursday, the Rockies fell to 15-26, 11 games behind the first-place Diamondbacks. ... SS Troy Tulowitzki is out until at least mid-July because of a torn tendon in his left quadriceps. ... Jeff Francis was a 17-game winner last season. This year, he's winless. Greg Reynolds was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2006 draft, and this will be his second major league start. ... The Rockies were batting .227 with runners in scoring position, ranked 29th in the majors.
