TWINS UPDATE
The Twins just don't score when Boof Bonser starts. They have scored a total of 11 runs in his five starts this season, and scored three or fewer runs in six of his last 10 starts of 2007. ... The Twins are one of four teams to not have a starter throw more than 110 pitches in a game, along with the Nationals, Rays and Diamondbacks. ... Justin Morneau homered in his first two-at-bats against Gavin Floyd on July 6 last season. That was the game he had a shot at four homers but flied out to left field in the eighth inning -- the game, a 12-0 Twins victory, was rebroadcast by FSN on Monday night.
WHITE SOX UPDATE
Nick Masset is scheduled to start Wednesday because Twins nemesis Mark Buehrle pitched in Saturday's doubleheader against Baltimore, and the White Sox don't want to start him on three days' rest ... Floyd was 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA against the Twins last season. The Twins won the games he started by scores of 12-0 and 7-1. ... Monday's game was the first suspended game for the White Sox since May 8, 1984, against the Brewers, which was suspended in the 17th inning tied 3-3. The White Sox won 7-6 the next day in the 25th inning on a Harold Baines home run. Both teams scored three runs in the 21st inning.
