Three trades yielded three key lineup additions for the first-place White Sox:
Acquired from Oakland for OF Ryan Sweeney, LHP Gio Gonzalez and RHP Fautino De Los Santos, he has given the White Sox the same kind of spark in the leadoff spot the Twins got from Dan Gladden in 1987.
Acquired from the Angels for RHP Jon Garland, he has committed only one error in 25 games and has fit in well behind Swisher in the No. 2 spot of the batting order.
Acquired from Arizona for minor league 1B Chris Carter, he leads the American League in on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS), at 1.077. He took over the league lead Monday from Boston's Manny Ramirez, who is at 1.056.
