FORT MYERS, FLA. - Twins hitters must be waiting for Opening Day to let loose.

The Twins lost 3-1 to Pittsburgh on Friday, making it 12 games since they scored more than four runs.

Pirates lefthander Phil Dumatrait and friends limited the Twins offense -- many of their regulars were in the lineup -- to seven singles. The Twins' lone run scored on a seeing-eye single to left by Adam Everett in the fifth.

Justin Morneau, the Twins cleanup hitter, went 0-for-2 to drop his spring batting average to .206.

Delmon Young, the No. 5 hitter, started off spring training hot but is batting .262 after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout on Friday.

"I won't get worried until they start to get worried," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. "I haven't seen worry on either one of their faces.

"They have seen pitches and they are just missing some pitches. When the bell rings I think they will be clicking."
