TWINS UPDATE

The Twins are 7-4 against Cleveland this season. ... With 257 career doubles, Justin Morneau needs two more to tie Torii Hunter for fifth on the Twins' all-time list. Morneau is batting .297 with four home runs and 12 RBI in nine games vs. the Indians this season. ... Ryan Doumit is batting .381 with two homers and seven RBI against Cleveland. ... Saturday's start time has been pushed back 30 minutes because of the pregame ceremony in which former manager Tom Kelly will have his No. 10 retired, joining seven former Twins players. ... The Twins are on pace to finish 66-96.

INDIANS UPDATE

The Indians just took two of three from Detroit, but that apparently hasn't helped morale. Closer Chris Perez criticized ownership and management in a FoxSports.com article, adding: "Josh Willingham would look great in this lineup. They didn't want to [pay] for that last year. ... That's the decision they make, and this is the bed we're laying in." The Indians were interested in Willingham, who signed with the Twins. ... McAllister started the Aug. 6 game in Cleveland in which the Twins won 14-3. He lasted just 12/3 innings, but of the nine runs they scored against him, only two were earned. ... Kluber held the Twins to one earned run over six innings Aug. 7.
