TOM KELLY DAY

What: Kelly's No. 10 will be retired in a ceremony starting at 5:45 p.m. before Saturday's game vs. Cleveland.

Quite a feat: Kelly managed the only two World Series champions in Twins history -- 1987 and 1991.

Select company: Kelly will become the seventh Twin to have his number retired, joining Harmon Killebrew (No. 3), Rod Carew (29), Tony Oliva (6), Kent Hrbek (14), Kirby Puckett (34) and Bert Blyleven (28).

Speaking parts: Speakers are former Twins GM Andy MacPhail, Hrbek, current manager Ron Gardenhire, owner Jim Pohlad and Kelly.

Also on hand: A large cast of Kelly's former players and coaches.

Giveaway: The first 10,000 fans will receive a commemorative mini-oar inscribed with this memorable Kelly quote: "We're all in this boat together. Everybody grab an oar.''
