Chart: Trade deadline winners and losers

  • Updated: August 1, 2012 - 10:26 PM

Angels: Adding Greinke makes them a threat in the AL West.

Dodgers: Didn't get Dempster, but addressed other needs.

Braves: Didn't get Dempster, but Maholm is solid.

White Sox: Have added Youkilis, Myers and Liriano in just more than a month.

Astros: They moved five veterans and got back 15 prospects. Fifteen!

Tigers: Filled holes in the rotation and at second base.

Giants: Hunter Pence could be this year's Carlos Beltran.

Rangers: With rotation falling apart, had to get Dempster.

Twins: For so much work to be done, did so little.

Cubs: Can't rebuild until Soriano is off the roster.

Athletics: Still need SS help while Angels and Rangers got better.

Marlins: Would make a good reality TV show. Wait ...

Orioles: How can you not swing a deal for Joe Blanton?

Red Sox: Failed to trade Beckett or offer enough for Liriano.

Rockies: Another quiet team with a lot of problems.

Reds: Still need a leadoff hitter.
