About the ballpark: Pohlman Field, capacity 3,500 -- The 30-year-old park, which also serves as the home field for Beloit Memorial High School, has been a point of contention practically since the franchise was founded as the Beloit Brewers. The team has tried to find financial backing for a new stadium for several seasons, causing the Brewers to withdraw their affiliation in 2004, with the Twins moving in the following year. Players have to walk through the stands to reach the home clubhouse, so kids and autograph-seekers line the area near the dugout before and after each game to interact with the players.
About the town: Beloit, Wis., a city of roughly 37,000 residents, sits on the border between Illinois and Wisconsin, about 10 miles north of Rockford, Ill. The team is named for the snapping turtle, since Beloit was formerly known as Turtle City, a reference to the shape of Indian burial mounds found in the area.
Cost of a ticket behind home plate: Box Seat -- $7.50
