TWINS UPDATE

The Twins had lost three consecutive series before taking two of three from the Reds over the weekend. The Twins went 1-2 against the White Sox in Chicago on May 22-24, and the White Sox will be their opponent for 15 of their remaining 91 games (16 percent). ... Liriano is 1-2 with a 2.67 ERA in five starts since returning to the rotation on May 30, with 35 strikeouts and 12 walks in 301/3 innings pitched.

WHITE SOX UPDATE

Besides reclaiming first place in the AL Central on Sunday, the White Sox acquired All-Star infielder Kevin Youkilis from the Red Sox. He is a .313 career hitter against the Twins. ... Adam Dunn is tied with Jose Bautista for the major league lead with 23 home runs, but Dunn also has 115 strikeouts, which puts him on pace the shatter Mark Reynolds' major league record of 223.
