TWINS UPDATE

The Twins took two of three from Brewers when the teams met May 18-20 in Milwaukee. Jason Marquis' final start for the Twins came in the finale of that series, as the Twins lost 16-4. ... The Twins have won four consecutive home series against the Brewers, dating to 2008. ... Liriano was on his way toward a third consecutive encouraging outing last Sunday before giving up three runs in the sixth inning in an eventual 8-2 loss.

BREWERS UPDATE

Milwaukee blew a 3-1, ninth-inning lead in an eventual 4-3, 11-inning loss at Kansas City on Wednesday, halting a streak of 69 consecutive victories by the Brewers in games they led after the seventh inning. With Francisco Rodriguez and John Axford at the back end of their bullpen, they had been pretty tough, but both have struggled this year. ... Last month against the Twins, Gallardo and Greinke combined to allow two earned runs in 12 innings.
