Sunday Insider: The 3-2 pitch

Three observations ...

• Out of 1,238 players selected in this year's draft, 14 participated in the Revitalizing Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program. I expected more from a program that's been in place since 1989, but it's the effort that counts.

• Too bad the Twins gave up on R.A. Dickey so early in his knuckleballing career.

• Numbers that don't make sense: Cliff Lee, after nine starts, has a 2.92 ERA and no wins.

... and two predictions

• The Orioles will be in last place in the AL East by the All-Star break.

• Lefthander Andrew Heaney, the ninth overall pick Monday, will be the first player from this year's draft class to reach the majors.
