Position: Outfielder
School: Appling County High School, Baxley, Ga.
Stats: Batted .513 with three homers, 17 doubles, 35 RBI and 38 stolen bases. Was 10-1 as a pitcher with a 154 strikeouts in 81 innings
Skills: Scouts use a 2 to 8 scale when evaluating players. Buxton's speed and arm have both been given an 8. The Twins feel he will hit for average and develop power. "What makes him special, he's a good kid,'' his high school coach, Jeremy Smith, said. "Gets everything he deserves. He'll come up here 11, 12 o'clock at night and work on his hitting.''
