From the Iron Range to the State Fair, several new Minnesota-centric dining options are being added to the concessions menu at Target Field for the start of the Twins season, the team announced Tuesday.

A cheese-filled mega meatball is the brainchild of Valentini's Supper Club, a family favorite in Chisholm and Duluth.

From the State Fair, fans can pick from four varieties at the baked potato bar, and The Preferred Pickle will serve up deep-fried pickle chips.

Also, look for those SuperMom's Mini Donuts, a staple of SuperAmerica convenience stores, and stir-fry from Twin Cities-based Leeann Chin.

For dessert? The classic Pearson's Salted Nut Roll is now an option from the longtime St. Paul company.

The Twins also have expanded their selection of local craft beers, adding Surly, Fulton, Summit, Finnegans and Schell's.

For pricing of the new items, visit As examples, Mini Donuts run $5, the fried pickles are $7, and Surlys are $7.75 and $8.75.

Since Target Field opened in 2010, the team has emphasized Minnesota food and drink for fans to choose from. Among those returning are the steak sandwich from Murray's and tacos from El Burrito Mercado in St. Paul.

The Twins open the season on the road Friday at Baltimore, then play their first home game of 2012 on Monday vs. the Angels.

As of Tuesday morning, standing room only tickets were available for the home opener.
