Terry Ryan's career with the Twins includes these milestones:
*June 1972: Taken by the Twins as a pitcher in the 35th round of amateur draft. Pitched until 1974, when he retired because of an arm injury.
*May 1979: Graduated from University of Wisconsin with degree in physical education.
*January 1980: Named Twins Midwest Scouting Supervisor.
*January 1986: Promoted to Twins scouting director.
*September 1991: Named Twins director of player personnel.
*September 1994: Becomes fourth Twins general manager in Twins history after Andy MacPhail left to go to the Chicago Cubs.
*September 2007: Resigns as general manager and remains as a senior advisor to Bill Smith.
