TWINS UPDATE

The Twins had won four consecutive series at Milwaukee before last year, when they were swept in three games. That dropped them to 15-15 all-time at Miller Park. ... OF Michael Cuddyer is hitting .488 during his 12-game hitting streak and has hit a double in five of his past six games. ... RHP Joe Nathan will return to the bullpen Friday after a stint on the disabled list. Manager Ron Gardenhire would only say that Nathan will pitch anywhere from the sixth inning on. ... The Twins, Angels, Athletics and Yankees are the only AL teams without a homer by a pitcher since interleague play started in 1997.

BREWERS UPDATE

The Brewers have a tough interleague schedule; they have dropped series to Boston and Tampa Bay and still have to face the Yankees in addition to six games with the Twins. "We're the team right now that has to take the tougher schedule,'' manager Ron Roenicke said. "Plus, your [regional] rivals [the Twins]. ... That's not always fair, too." ... LF Ryan Braun is batting .333 during his 14-game hitting streak. He's the only player to have had three hitting streaks of at least 10 games this season. ... Wolf, 2-0 with a 2.03 ERA over his past six starts, is making his first start against the Twins since June 23, 2002.
