TWINS UPDATE

The Twins are 4-3 against Toronto this year. Santana, who is 5-1 with a 1.62 ERA in his past seven starts, hasn't faced the Blue Jays since he took a loss on Opening Day last year in Toronto. Reed Johnson is batting .563 (9-for-16) lifetime against Santana. Troy Glaus is batting .389 (7-for-18), and Frank Thomas is batting .375 (6-for-16) with two home runs.

BLUE JAYS UPDATE

Toronto hasn't given up a run in 22 innings. The Blue Jays shut out Seattle in back-to-back games this weekend, behind Josh Towers on Saturday and Roy Halladay on Sunday. Marcum held the Twins to one run in eight innings June 26 at the Metrodome, a game the Twins won 2-1 in 12 innings.
