ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. - The Twins played poorly in the field and failed to make pitches late in a 6-5, 10-inning loss to Tampa Bay.
The Twins committed four errors in the game, including two in the eighth. Then righthander Angel Garcia, brought along as an extra pitcher, gave up a walk-off single to Elijah Dukes in the 10th.
"We missed a lot of plays and threw the ball away, which we don't do very often," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said.
Jason Bartlett's wild feed on a force-play attempt in the fifth was the only error made by a Twins regular.
Jeff Cirillo, whose forte is wearing out lefthanders, was 2-for-2 in the game. He walked and singled off of Tampa Bay lefthander Casey Fossum in his first two at-bats.

I made this championship belt for the push to the '09 Division Title. Gladden offered to buy it; I wanted a trade for one of his rings. He declined.
