Twins: Torii Hunter doubled to left off Kansas City starter Odalis Perez. Josh Rabe grounded out to second, Hunter advanced to third. Jason Tyner grounded out to short. Jason Bartlett reached on an infield single, scoring Hunter. Kansas City: Twins starter Mike Smith walked Ryan Shealy. Paul Bako reached on an infield single, Shealy advanced to second. Angel Berroa popped out to catcher Mike Redmond. Joey Gathright reached on a fielder's choice to second, Shealy advanced to third, Bako was out at second. David DeJesus singled to left, scoring Shealy. Twins 1, Royals 1
