The righthander posted a 4.54 ERA in 59 appearances. He lives in Cobbs Creek, Va., where he works in commercial fishing.

DON BAYLOR

No. 18

Position: DH

Current age: 58

Acquired from Boston on Aug. 31, he became a tough postseason out and went on to manage the Rockies and Cubs. He's now a spokesman for Strike Out Cancer and lives in La Quinta, Calif.

JUAN BERENGUER

No. 40

Position: RP

Current age: 52

The reliever nicknamed Señor Smoke was nearly flawless in the ALCS. He works in car sales and lives in Chanhassen.

BERT BLYLEVEN

No. 28

Position: SP

Current age: 56

He went 15-12 with a 4.01 ERA as the team's No. 2 starter and retired with 287 victories and 3,701 strikeouts. These days, he's a Twins TV analyst.

TOM BRUNANSKY

Position: RF

Current age: 46

The slugging right fielder who hit 32 homers in 1987 and .412 in the ALCS is a baseball coach at Poway (Calif.) High School. He also plans golf events.

RANDY BUSH

Current age: 48

The lefthanded hitter who batted .253 in 122 games is assistant general manager for the Chicago Cubs and lives in New Orleans.

The backup who played 51 games works as a special assistant to the GM for the Toronto Blue Jays and lives in Lake Mary, Fla.

The righthanded-hitting outfielder, who batted .267 in 102 games, works in the graphic arts industry and lives in Statesville, N.C.

GEORGE FRAZIER

The righthander who posted a 4.98 ERA in 54 games works as a Colorado Rockies TV analyst and lives in Tulsa, Okla.

GARY GAETTI

No. 8

Position: 3B

Current age: 48

The Gold Glove third baseman who was MVP of the ALCS is the hitting coach for Tampa Bay's Class AAA Durham affiliate and lives in Houston.

GREG GAGNE

No. 7

Position: SS

Current age: 45

He slugged three home runs during the 1987 postseason. He is a high school baseball coach and lives in Somerset, Mass.

DAN GLADDEN

No. 32

Position: LF

Current age: 50

The leadoff man who had 12 RBI that postseason and hit a grand slam in Game 1 of the World Series is a Twins radio broadcaster and lives in Eden Prairie.

KENT HRBEK

No. 14

Position: 1B

Current age: 47

The first baseman who smacked 34 homers in '87 and a grand slam in Game 6 of the World Series still lives in Bloomington. He is also the host of the TV show "Kent Hrbek Outdoors."

GENE LARKIN

No. 9

Position: 1B/DH

Current age: 44

The part-time player batted .266 as a rookie. He played six more seasons with the Twins. He is an investment adviser and lives in Eden Prairie.

TIM LAUDNER

No. 15

Position: C

Current age: 49

Hit 16 home runs during the regular season and then batted .318 in the World Series. Works as a baseball clinician and lives in Hamel, Minn.

STEVE LOMBARDOZZI

No. 4

Position: 2B

Current age: 47

"Lombo" hit .412 in the World Series. He owns an advertising specialty distributorship and lives in Fulton, Md.

AL NEWMAN

Current age: 47

The utility man who won two World Series with the Twins and eventually joined their coaching staff is now director of special events for Aflac and lives in Elko.

JOE NEIKRO

No. 36

Position: SP

Deceased

The pitcher who had the nail file in his back pocket, resulting in a 10-game suspension, died of a brain aneurysm last October at age 61.

KIRBY PUCKETT

No. 34

Position: CF

Deceased

The Hall of Famer who batted a team-high .332 and finished third in the league's MVP voting died in March 2006 of a brain aneurysm at age 46.

JEFF REARDON

Current age: 51

The closer who had 31 saves and helped erase memories of Ron Davis is retired and lives in Palm Beach, Fla.

The lefthander who tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings in the ALCS works in the physical education department for Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Ill.

Hit .275 as a part-time veteran. He is a senior vice president for Morgan Stanley and a Twins studio analyst for Fox Sports North. He lives in Edina.

Current age: 47

The righthander who went 8-10 with a 4.37 ERA as a rookie and became the No. 3 starter in the postseason is a pitching coach at the Philadelphia Phillies' academy in Venezuela.

FRANK VIOLA

No. 16

Position: SP

Current age: 47

The lefthander who went 17-10 with a 2.90 ERA and was named MVP of the World Series after winning Games 1 and 7 works as a high school pitching coach and lives in Orlando.

The skipper who steered this 85-victory team to postseason upsets over Detroit and St. Louis in his first full season as manager works as a Twins special assistant to the GM and lives in Maplewood.

He is the pitching coach for the Camden (N.J.) Riversharks and lives in Sanford, N.C.

TONY OLIVA

No. 6

Hitting coach

Current age: 69

The former All-Star remains perhaps the Twins' greatest ambassador -- "Mr. Twin" as Kent Hrbek calls him. He works as a special assistant for the team and still lives in Bloomington.

WAYNE TERWILLIGER

No. 45

First-base coach

Current age: 82

He is still a coach for the Fort Worth Rock Cats, he has written a book and he lives in Weatherford, Texas.

RICK RENICK

No. 44

Third-base coach

Current age: 63

The third base coach is retired, living in Sarasota, Fla.

RICK STELMASZEK

No. 43

Bullpen coach

Current age: 58

He is the longest-tenured coach in the majors, now in his 27th season with the Twins.

The boy-wonder GM who won that first World Series at age 34 is now team president for the Baltimore Orioles.

BOB GEBHARD

Current age: 64

The assistant GM became the first GM of the Colorado Rockies and is now a vice president for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
