Hi everybody, welcome back to the show.

I've been off the grid for about 12 hours, so let's catch up...I was at the state volleyball tournament for a few hours Friday and then watched Eden Prairie beat Wayzata 7-3 in the football playoffs last night at the Metrodome. Then came a little late-night webcasting from Star Tribune World Headquarters (and by the way, that Wayzata doggie coat was too small for the dog but fit the family cat perfectly). I took my wife out for breakfast this morning and here it is early Saturday afternoon and I'm back at the Xcel Energy Center for the final day of the volleyball season.

There are third- and fifth-place matches in all three classes taking place, and the state finals look like this:

1A: Bethlehem Academy vs. Minneota

2A: Marshall vs. Delano

3A: Shakopee vs. Wayzata

As is the norm, we're a bit behind schedule. the 1A final is scheduled for 1 p.m. but Lake of the Woods and Meadow Creek Christian are locked in a five-game third-place match. When that ends we will get the 1A final started.

David LaVaque and I will post instant volleyball updates on Twitter and keep the ball rolling here on the blog, too. Football scores from today's should show up on Twitter, as well.

And away we go...
