South St. Paul goalie commits to U hockey

South St. Paul junior goalie Adam Wilcox has committed to the Gophers. He was 16-6-3 last season with a 2.38 goals-against average. He is the cousin of Alex Stalock, the former Minnesota Duluth All-America goalie.

WCHA honors Gophers winger Lucia

Gophers senior winger Tony Lucia has been named the WCHA's Offensive Player of the Week. Lucia had three goals, two shorthanded, and two assists as Minnesota swept Alaska Anchorage 5-1 and 4-1 last weekend.

Lynx have best shot at No. 1 pick

The Lynx will have two of the five picks in the WNBA draft lottery Thursday afternoon in New York City. One pick is theirs and one was obtained in a trade with the New York Liberty. Having two picks gives the Lynx the best odds, 42.8 percent, at the No. 1 pick overall.
