Here we go. Round two of the postseason. No more byes, fewer mismatches, lots of interesting Halloween games on Saturday.

I’m back to the basic format for these shots in the dark. I’m picking all games involving the Metro Top 10 (there are nine of those this week) and the always-dangerous “Other Games” category includes 11 games.

Some random thoughts: With the return of injured QB Jameson Parsons, Eagan might throw a scare into No. 3 Cretin-Derham Hall. I’m taking Cretin. … No. 8 Hopkins beat No. 5 Minnetonka 31-30 in their first meeting; Minnetonka is playing better these days and that’s why I’m picking the Skippers. … I don’t see much drama in the rest of the Top 10 games. …After seeing Lakeville North and Lakeville South recently, I’m taking North to win the Battle of Lakeville. … and I like Centennial to get past Andover in a big test between Northwest Suburban powers.

Let's pick!

Section quarterfinal record: 15-5
Season record: 122-48
