Last update: October 20, 2009 - 11:34 PM

JOE CARPENTER

WR, St. Michael-Albertville

The Knights like to spread the ball around to their various receivers, but senior quarterback Tanner Krutzig latched on to Carpenter in a 27-0 victory over Monticello in the Mississippi 8 Conference. The junior caught six passes for 148 yards and three touchdowns (25, 68 and 20 yards).

JORDAN NIEUWSMA

RB, Lion's Gate Academy/Bethany Academy

Nieuwsma ran wild against St. John's Prep. The sophomore carried the ball 13 times for 220 yards and four first-half touchdowns, leading the Golden Lions to a 49-16 triumph in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association. He has rushed for more than 100 yards in his past three games.

ZACH RIEDEMAN

QB, Forest Lake

The senior had a hand in all of the Rangers' scoring in a 32-20 victory over East Ridge in the Suburban East. Riedeman ran for 158 yards on 14 carries and four touchdowns and threw a 30-yard pass for the other score. He scored on runs of 24, 62, 1 and 26 yards.
