I’m having trouble registering.

Make sure you are using the same email address that we initially contacted you about participating in the community. If this is your first visit to the site, the password was provided in your welcome email. The password is case sensitive.

You can always use the Forgot Password option to have a temporary password sent to your email address. After you log in you should change your password to something you remember.

If you still cannot login, please contact us with the following information: operating system, browser (name and version #), screen name, and any other info you may have that can help us troubleshoot. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible.

Can I change my user ID?

Unfortunately, no. Due to programming restraints, you may not change your user ID once your account is established. Your user ID is your friendly URL to your profile.

Can I change my screen name?

Yes! Your screen name can be changed at any time, as many times as you'd like.  We do suggest choosing a screen name and sticking with it since it will be easier for other members to remember you and your brilliant contributions.

Why do I have to be a StarTribune.com registered member before I can complete my profile on GameFaceMN?

Anyone can view GameFaceMN.com photos, videos, stories, blogs, events groups, chatter, schools directory page, profile pages and each school’s page. In order to upload photos, upload video, create groups, blog posts, events, invite friends, add friends or post chatter, GameFaceMN.com site visitors must create a username and password on StarTribune.com.

Why should I add a picture with my profile?

You don’t have to. It just helps us connect and identify the people providing us ideas and feedback in the community. It’s your choice.

Why should I complete my profile?

There may be a couple of required questions for us to identify you, otherwise you don’t have to. It helps us understand the people sharing with us and understanding our participants. It’s also a great way for other people in the community to connect with you. You’ll be surprised how your response to a profile question can generate conversation.

Can I see other people's profiles? Can they see mine?

Yes you can, and yes they can, depending on your settings.  When you login you can update your account settings from your home page and determine which parts of your profile you want private, public, or to be shared only with your connections.  Remember, if your posts and comments are kept private, other members will not be able to give you Kudos or recognition.

How do I upload a video?

You must first be logged in as a GameFaceMN.com member. You can upload a photo by clicking on the Videos button on the navigation bar on the GameFaceMN.com homepage to the photos page.  Then click on upload video. Select the video clip you want to upload from your computer by clicking “Browse” and then the “Upload” button. Then you can add titles, descriptions and tags to each of the video clips you uploaded.
