CLASS 5A

SECTION 1

• LAKEVILLE NORTH 24, OWATONNA 14: Senior quarterback Mike Hartwell completed 13 of 21 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for a score as the third-seeded Panthers knocked off No. 2 Owatonna on Saturday. Hartwell tossed a pair of long touchdown passes on back-to-back drives in the second quarter, hitting junior running back Dajon Newell with a 72-yarder and senior wideout Fred Newell with a 63-yarder. Owatonna closed the gap to 17-14 in the fourth quarter, but Lakeville North put the game away with a 67-yard touchdown drive that took more than five minutes. Hartwell hit senior wideout Tyler Swanson with a key 33-yard completion in the middle of that drive, then scored on a 6-yard run.

SECTION 2

• MOUNDS VIEW 21, STILLWATER 7: Senior quarterback David Freed ran for one touchdown and passed for one, lifting the Mustangs over the Ponies. Teammate senior Andy Osborne's 1-yard run in the third quarter broke a 7-all tie.

SECTION 7

• BLAINE 24, ANDOVER 17: Senior quarterback James Peterson scored on a 6-yard bootleg with 18.7 seconds left, lifting the Bengals over the Huskies. Peterson's run was the only touchdown of the second half.

• COON RAPIDS 48, CAMBRIDGE-ISANTI 17: Quarterback Blair Townsend completed 15 of 17 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a score, leading the Cardinals past the Bluejackets. Wide receiver Evan Lowe caught six passes for 192 yards and two scores.

CLASS 4A

SECTION 3

• SIMLEY 21, MINNEAPOLIS WASHBURN 14: Junior Dustin McIntyre scored on a 2-yard run with 2 minutes, 33 seconds remaining, lifting the Spartans over the Millers. Teammate senior Tyler Thai scored on a 4-yard in the third quarter and the following two-point conversion tied it at 14.

SECTION 5

• BECKER 39, DELANO 14: Senior running back Jake Gibbons gained 126 yards on 22 carries and scored two-second quarter touchdowns, leading the Bulldogs past the Tigers. Becker accumulated 275 yards on the ground on 48 attempts.

• ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE 34, ROGERS 13: The Knights capitalized on good field position throughout the first half, building a 21-point lead in beating the Royals. Senior Hank Dalbec opened the scoring with a 34-yard interception return in the first quarter. St. Michael-Albertville took control with three touchdowns in the second quarter, scoring on drives of 50, 27 and 49 yards. Senior quarterback Jason Dehmer ran for one touchdown and passed for another one.

SECTION 6

• ORONO 32, BENILDE-ST. MARGARET'S 0: Senior quarterback Tyler Hartlein threw three first-half touchdown passes as Orono built a 25-0 lead at the intermission in shutting out the Red Knights.

Class 3A

SECTION 6

• GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE 41, ANNANDALE 0: Senior Mitch Nowak ran for two second-quarter touchdowns, and junior Aaron Lueders rushed for 145 yards and another score as the Panthers rolled.
