Park Center pounds DeLaSalle

 

• PARK CENTER 35, DELASALLE 7: Senior Amani Hooker returned two interceptions for touchdowns — one from 100 yards and another from 65 — to power the Pirates to the victory. Hooker finished with three interceptions and also rushed for a 67-yard touchdown. Pirates cornberback Ty’shonan Brooks opened the scoring with a 45-yard interception return for a touchdown. DeLaSalle’s only score came with the Pirates’ first-string defense on the bench. Senior running back Ronde Barry led the Pirates with 68 yards on 13 carries.

• NORTHFIELD 28, MANKATO EAST 27: The Raiders rallied to score the final 21 points of the game to stun the Cougars. Trailing 27-7 in the third quarter, Luke Harris passed for three touchdowns to complete the Northfield comeback. Harris completed 13 of 23 passes for 277 yards. Wide receiver Nic Zabel had three receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

• CHANHASSEN 26, WACONIA 23: The Storm let a 19 point lead disappear but rallied late to beat the Wildcats. A pair of 3-yard touchdown runs from Tom Loeffler and a 13-yard yard touchdown reception from Robert Wulf built the Storm lead. Noah Kraml passed for a touchdown and rushed for another to help the Wildcats pull ahead with a 21 point second quarter. But Luke Salem rallied the Storm for the game-winning score on a 1-yard touchdown run.

• HASTINGS 33, HILL-MURRAY 0: Junior quarterback Colin Kummer ran for two touchdowns and passed for another as the Raiders breezed to the victory. Senior Austin Eichmann rushed for a touchdown and Nathaniel Wiese added a 16-yard touchdown run.

• MOUND-WESTONKA 53, SPECTRUM 0: Quarterback Brennen Boroughs threw for four touchdowns, two of which went to running back Isaiah Cherrier as the White Hawks cruised to the victory. Cherrier also rushed for two touchdowns and scored a defensive touchdown.

• MAHTOMEDIA 23, HENRY SIBLEY 13: TJ Tumbleson ran for two touchdowns and kicker Chase Sullivan made three field goals to lead the Zephyrs to the victory over the Warriors. Senior linebacker Xavier Hansen returned a fumble 45 yards for the Warriors only touchdown.

• ST. PAUL CENTRAL 49, FRIDLEY 14: Senior running back William Blakey rushed for two touchdown in the first half to help the Minutemen beat the Tigers in dominant fashion. The Minutemen jumped out to a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter after Blakey scored from 2-yards out. Xavier Davis and Kylan Saffold each added a touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Junior cornerback Archie Jacob added a 20-yard interception return for a touchdown. Senior Taariq Hutchinson-Carroll finished 14 tackles, including four sacks.

• MANKATO WEST 24, ROCHESTER JOHN MARSHALL 14: Senior running back Van Neils rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Scarlets to the victory Friday at Mankato West High School. Neils first score came on a 61-yard dash in the third quarter to the Scarlets at 10-0 lead. The Rockets rallied to take the lead after scoring on back-to-back possessions in the third quarter. Senior tight end Brady Tuckner hauled in a 26-yard pass from quarterback Jack Stein 4:21 left in the third quarter. On the ensuing possession senior running back Josh Mattison scored a 45-yard rushing touchdown to put the Rockets ahead 14-10. A pair of touchdown runs in the fourth quarter from Neils rallied Mankato West for the comeback victory.

MINNEAPOLIS HENRY 48, CONCORDIA ACADEMY 7: Javien Versey returned a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown to lead the Patriots to the victory. Versey returned the opening kickoff 80-yards for a score and later added a 77-yard punt return. Quarterback Hnia Xiong ran for a score and found Julian Jackson for a pair touchdowns. Adam Maser rushed for a 2-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Beacons’ only score.

• COLUMBIA HEIGHTS 20, NEW LIFE ACADEMY 14: The Hylanders scored the final 20 points of the game to rally from a 15-point deficit to down the Eagles. Traveious Peeler returned an interception for a touchdown and Ebenezer Laryea returned a fumble for a score to spark the comeback. Larrion Davis scored the game-winning touchdown on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter.

• ST. PAUL HIGHLAND 49, ST. CROIX LUTHERAN 23: The Scots rolled up 411 total yards on their way the past the Crusaders. Quarterback Charles Klug completed eight of 14 for 315 yards and five touchdowns to lead Highland Park.

• CHASKA 42, BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 10: Will Olson rushed for 186 yards on 20 carries and one touchdown to power the Hawks to the victory. Quarterback Alexander Strazzanti added 78 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
