Friday's top high school football performances

Last update: October 11, 2008 - 1:19 AM

JERRETT WILLIAMS, RB, Blake

Williams ran for 274 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries and caught a touchdown pass, leading the Bears past St. Paul Academy/Mounds Park Academy 39-15 in the Tri-Metro.

EVAN WILLIAMS, RB, DeLaSalle

There was something to be said for having the last name of Williams and playing in the Tri-Metro. The junior rushed for 250 yards and four scores on 12 carries as the Islanders shut out Breck 43-0.

HAINI MOIMOI, RB, Mahtomedi

The junior didn't score a touchdown in the Zephyrs' first six games. That all changed against Hill-Murray. Moimoi registered 243 yards on the ground and six touchdowns while carrying the ball 35 times in a 45-20 Classic Suburban victory

JODY WASHINGTON, DB, St. Paul Central

The Minutemen defense was stellar in shutting out St. Paul Humboldt 39-0. Washington led the charge; he intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble.
