Dawson-Boyd ends Mahnomen's streak in 1A

• DAWSON-BOYD 34, MAHNOMEN 20: The Blackjacks stopped the Indians' 39-game winning streak. Dawson-Boyd stopped the longest winning streak in the state with a victory in the Class 1A quarterfinal. Trailing 14-7 after the first quarter, the Blackjacks rallied to score 20 unanswered points behind quarterback Jess Hansen's three second-half touchdown passes. Michael Lee had 11 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns for Dawson-Boyd. The state's longest active winning streak now belongs to Hutchinson at 37 games.

• SIMLEY 44, SARTELL-ST. STEPHEN 20: Simley scored 30 points in the second half to pull away for the victory in a Class 5A quarterfinal. The Spartans (9-3) led 14-7 at halftime and extended their lead to 27-13 after three quarters. Michael Avwunuma rushed for two TDs and Michael Busch ran for one TD and threw a TD pass to lead the Spartans.

• GLENCOE-SILVER LAKE 20, BLUE EARTH AREA 14: The Panthers built a 13-point halftime lead and then held on for the victory in a Class 3A quarterfinal. Keaton Anderson threw a TD pass and caught another and Zach Pierson scored two TDs for the Panthers (9-3). Anderson's 22-yard TD pass to Pierson with 22 seconds remaining in the first half gave the Panthers a 20-7 lead.

• NEW LONDON-SPICER 52, ESKO 27: The Wildcats rushed for six touchdowns on their way to the Class 3A quarterfinal victory. Senior Trey Austvold accounted for three scores on the ground and Shane Zylstra added two touchdowns.

• MINNEOTA 27, NEW ULM CATHEDRAL 0: The undefeated Vikings were powered by Garrett Hennen's three rushing touchdowns in the Class 1A quarterfinal victory. The junior finished with 143 yards on the ground.

• BECKER 24, ROCORI 0: Fullback Beau Pauly rushed for a pair of touchdowns and quarterback Michael Veldman added another score with his legs to pace Becker to the Class 4A quarterfinal victory.
