Three questions with Chase Vogler, Rosemount QB

THREE QUESTIONS WITH CHASE VOGLER, ROSEMOUNT SENIOR QB

Your TD pass in the closing seconds keyed a 17-14 win last week over Lakeville South. How important was that game?

It was pretty big. It gave us a lot of confidence in our tough conference, and it was nice to get back on the field.

You were a wide receiver/defensive back last year. How do you like playing QB?

It's good to touch the ball a lot more and have more of a leadership role. And I couldn't ask for a better start to the season.

When did you find out you were making the switch to quarterback?

It happened right after last season. I talked to Coach (Jeff) Erdmann and he told me there was a good chance. They kind of put me there to be an option quarterback, and I didn't know if I could throw. We put in a lot of work in the offseason, and it paid off.
