Quick Q&A

SHEFFIE BAILEY

TARTAN, SR.

ADAPTED BOWLING

The only senior on the Tartan cognitively impaired (CI) division adapted bowling team, Bailey was the team’s high scorer and led the Titans to the team championship in the adapted bowling state tournament May 16. Bailey talked with staff writer Jim Paulsen about the victory, its aftermath and his plans.

Congratulations on the championship. How does it feel to be a champion? It feels pretty awesome.

What was it like when you heard that you won? Everybody was jumping up and down and screaming really loud.

You, too? A little bit.

What did you get for winning? I got a trophy and medals. [The team also was honored before the Tartan girls’ lacrosse game on Tuesday].

What do you like about bowling? Hanging around with friends. And I’m pretty good at it.

What’s your best score? 169. And I got four turkeys [three strikes in a row] this year.
