Eagan, ranked No. 3 in the Class 3A poll, claimed the championship of the talented, 16-team field. The tournament featured all three defending state champions ­— Bethlehem Academy (Class 1A), Marshall (2A) and Lakeville North (3A).

Richfield's Obsa Ali, ranked No. 1 in the Class 2A individual poll, won the boys' race, and St. Michael-Albertville's Rachel King won the girls' race. Eden Prairie, ranked No. 3 in Class 2A, won the boys' team title, and Edina, ranked No. 5 in Class 2A, claimed the girls' team title.

Milaca Mega Meet

Stillwater, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A, outdueled Perham, ranked No. 1 in Class 1A, in the Class 4A boys' race, and East Ridge, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A, won the Class 4A girls' race, to highlight the eight varsity races.

Wayzata, ranked No. 5 in Class 2A, defeated No. 2 Minnetonka 5-2 in the finals of the Edina Invitational. The Trojans also knocked off top-rated Edina 4-3 in the semifinals. The eight-team meet featured six of the top nine teams in the large-school division.
