class 3a SOFTBALL

Walk-off home run gives Stillwater win

SECTION 4: Rachel Hartwig saved her best for last on Thursday. The sophomore belted a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning, giving Stillwater a 3-0 victory over Woodbury in the semifinals. Winning pitcher senior Hannah Heacox threw a four-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.

SECTION 3: Kylie Macziewski drove in the tying run in the bottom of the seventh and knocked home the winning run an inning later as Bloomington Jefferson rallied to beat Rosemount 2-1 in eight innings in the semifinals.

Class 3A BASEBALL

Hill-Murray senior throws no-hitter

SECTION 4: Senior Travis Neubeck threw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts as Hill-Murray shut out South St. Paul 3-0 in the opening round. Senior Luc Henke, the ace of the Pioneers' pitching staff, went 3-for-3 at the plate with an RBI. ... Cretin-Derham Hall didn't waste any time taking control against North St. Paul in a 10-0 victory. Senior David Reyes belted a grand slam in the fifth inning, and the Raiders never looked back. Senior Nick Green went 3-for-3 at the plate, and senior Rob Mouton picked up the win on the mound.

BOYS' LACROSSE

EDEN PRAIRIE 8, EASTVIEW 6: Junior attacker Charlie Venable had a hat trick as the Eagles beat the Lightning in a rematch of last year's state championship. He also had one assist. Eastview topped Eden Prairie 10-4 for the title in 2012.

GIRLS' LACROSSE

BLOOMINGTON KENNEDY 14, ROSEVILLE 6: Freshman midfielder Ellie Monson scored nine goals as the Eagles cruised past the Raiders in a nonconference matchup.

BOYS' GOLF

NORTHWEST SUBURBAN: Champlin Park freshman Anson Kuznick shot a 3-under-par 69 to earn medalist honors at the 11-team meet at Bunker Hills Golf Club. Maple Grove took first place with a team score of 307. Andover and Champlin Park tied for second at 319. Maple Grove was the overall season champion and Maple Grove's Jackson Lanou was the overall season medalist with an average score of 37.5.
