Cancer awareness

• The Eastview boys' lacrosse team will be getting the message out about testicular cancer at an event later this spring. In conjunction with National LIVESTRONG Day (May 13), the team will host the LIVESTRONG lacrosse game at its first section playoff game on May 12. Proceeds from a small silent auction and donations collected that day will benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation. All attendees are encouraged to wear yellow. The team will wear yellow socks. • The Testicular Cancer Resource Center recommends a monthly self exam for males over the age of 14. A description of the self exam can be found at tcrc.acor.org/tcexam.html.
