Recap: Cody Schilling had 23 points to become the state's career scoring leader as the defending state champions improved to 29-2. Schilling had 23 points (five below his average) and Ellsworth led all the way against the Mustangs (25-3).
Turning point: Schilling threw an alley-oop pass to 6-8 center Trevor Gruis for a spectacular first-half dunk that put the Panthers ahead 23-14 and gave them (and their fans) a spark. Adam Van Der Stoep followed with a three-point basket for a 26-14 margin with 7:48 left in the half.

Noteworthy: Gruis had 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting, 14 rebounds and three assists. ... Tim Garry and Dan Stensland led Granada-Huntley-East Chain with 12 points each.
