Recap: This group of Bulldogs is the highest-scoring team in school history, averaging nearly 82 points per game. The Lancers didn't do anything to slow them down from the outset. St. Bernard's only weak point was unforced turnovers.
Turning point: St. Bernard's (28-2) took a 36-19 lead on a Jordair Jett dunk with just over three minutes remaining in the first half. La Crescent closed within 43-41, but Jett come up with a steal and two free throws a minute later to push the lead back to six midway through the second half. Jett finished with 20 points to pace four Bulldogs in double figures.
The quote: "Jordair is pretty unselfish with the basketball. We needed him to be more selfish in the second half. We go as he goes." -- Ed Cassidy, St. Bernard's coach
Noteworthy: Ian Anderson put on quite a show to keep La Crescent (28-2) in the quarterfinal matchup. Anderson had 18 of the Lancers' 28 first-half points. The school's all-time leading scorer finished with 28 points on 13-for-17 shooting from the floor. He also grabbed 11 rebounds.
