EDINA 5, BEN.-ST. MARG. 4 (OT)

Everson settles matters

Recap: Benilde-St. Margaret's fought back from a pair of two-goal deficits to force overtime, but Edina's Marshall Everson had the last word. His goal at 5:48 allowed the Hornets to escape with a 5-4 victory. Everson's goal was assisted by teammate Anders Lee. Benilde-St. Margaret's outshot Edina 35-26 in a rematch of their Dec. 26 game, which the Red Knights won 2-1.

Three stars: 3) Brendan Baker, Edina -- Had a goal and an assist and made a key defensive play to break up a Red Knights scoring chance with less than one minute to play in regulation. 2) Steve Zierke, Benilde-St. Margaret's -- Notched a goal and an assist. 1) Marshall Everson, Edina -- Scored the game-winner in overtime, added two assists and just missed on two or three other scoring chances.
