Recap: Breck improved to 20-6-2 with a 3-1 victory over Hibbing/Chisholm. The Mustangs scored a goal in each period and never trailed.

Turning point: Ellen Swiontkowski scored her 33rd goal this season at 6:01 of the second period, giving Breck a 2-0 lead. It proved to be the game-winner.

Quote: "I told the girls the first one is hard to get," Breck coach Rob Little said. "It's a good feeling to know we will playing at Xcel again on Friday. I think we'll play even better on Friday."

Unsung hero: Goaltender Courtney Nygaard kept the Bluejackets off the scoreboard until 4:52 of the third period and was strong down the stretch.

Noteworthy: Breck is back in the state tournament after winning the Class 1A consolation championship last season. Hibbing/Chisholm entered the game with a 12-13-2 record. Breck met Austin, its opponent in the semifinals, in last season's consolation championship game, beating the Packers 5-4 in overtime.
