Lakeville South senior Ellen Rager wrapped up her high school golf career playing in the Class 3A girls' state tournament this past week at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids. Here is a closer look:

The best movie I've seen in the past year: "Water for Elephants."

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are: "My Time" by Fabolous featuring Jeremith; "E.T." by Katy Perry featuring Kanye West; "Stronger" by Kanye West.

Three words my friends or teammates might use to describe me: Determined; funny; talented.

What is your favorite meal prior to an event? If the match starts in the morning, I like to start the morning off with scrambled eggs to get a lot of protein in me. If it starts in the middle of the day, I like to have the most nutritious meal my school is serving that day.

How did you get started playing golf? Before my freshman year started in high school, my dad and I walked past a table with players from the girls' golf team and they wanted me to sign up. I didn't really know much about the sport or how to play, but my dad signed me up anyways and now I love the sport.

At my first varsity golf practice, I felt ... nervous because I didn't really know what to expect or how practices were going to be run.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? The Minnesota Wild because I love watching hockey and how intense it can be. I also like to watch it when players have fights.

In 10 years, I hope I've ... graduated from St. Kate's as a nurse and had a successful golfing career there.
