By now, a television video of a suburban Seattle high school cheerleader being trampled by her football team has been seen around the globe thanks to You Tube.
As of this morning, the incident has been viewed on You Tube more than 725,000 times, and the station, KOMO of Seattle, said it's been inundated with phone calls asking about the teen's well being.
Now, the cheerleader reports, that she's a little embarrassed, a bit sore, but "I'm good; I'm fine."
It was during halftime of last week's Auburn High School football game that Cali Kaltschmidt tried to make an adjustment on a banner that was being held for the players to run through as they returned to the field for the second half.
And, as the 18-year-old Kaltschmidt told KOMO, "Smack, I got run into."
Down she went, and the players just kept dashing through the torn banner and past the crumpled cheerleader.
Kaltschmidt, 18, told the television station that the impact "hurt really bad" and she had a little swelling on the right side of her jaw. Otherwise, she admitted between chuckles, the widespread viewing of the video is "really embarrassing" and not something she wants to be known for.
To cap it off, Kaltschmidt said in the interview that she was in a minor car accident the day before the game and was nursing a bruised neck.
As for returning to the field, she said she'll be back on the sidelines Friday to cheer on the team.
