Otter Tail county's bass are on the bite! A limit of largemouth came in at Ken's Tackle from West Lost Lake.  One you can learn from is the creator of Sally Jigs, Mike Daniels. He's having a great season!

Mike is fishing the edges of reeds and cane, with Frog Sally Jigs, and also mid-depths over tops of weeds.

Later as the sun rises, using Sally Craw Jig's on weedlines, purple blue, black blue adn green pumpkin.

Otter Tail area has very good bass lakes.  Stop by Ken's Tackle for the latest info and to pick up the recommended jigs to catch the bass.  We are proud providers of Sally Jigs - they are producing a great catch that is for sure!

Sportsmen Club Tournament a Great Success!

Posted by: Gary Peterson under Environment, Weather, Recreation, Fishing Updated: June 11, 2012 - 8:50 PM

Walleyes continue to bite well on Otter Tail in 10 to 20 feet of water.  Crawlers and leeches with spinners are the best presentation of the time.

Crank bait is good when the sun starts to set in 8 to 10 feet of water.  Panfish have slowed down a little as spawning has just finished up.  Water temps are around 70 degrees.

Sportsmen Club tournament winners were the team of Currie/Merikel with a winning weight of 17 pounds for six fish.  A lot of fish caught with great weights.  With the weather changes - it was a tougher bite.  Currie and Merikel - great job!

Next tournament is Scott's June 15 and 16th.  They still have some openings - call 218-639-8933 to enter.
