Fall Fishing - Anything Better?

Posted by: Gary Peterson Updated: September 9, 2012 - 2:46 PM

Walleye fishing on Otter Tail Lake is going great.  Daytime bite is still in 20 to 25 feet using crawlers and spinners or redtails on Jigs or rigs.

Crankbaits at night have been awesome in 3 to 8 feet of water.  Great time with walleye fishing in the cool air!

And if you like Muskie fishing - West Battle Lake has been increasing in action.  Use blades and bucktails in 10 to 20 feet of water.

Crappie bite has been a little slower but sunfish bite has been good on most lakes.

So, stop in and get direction on where to go!  Ken's Tackle is here to help!

Crawlers Count

Posted by: Gary Peterson Updated: August 23, 2012 - 5:20 PM

Fishing continues to be good in the Otter Tail Lake area.  Walleyes are biting on crawlers and redtails (yes we have them!) on rigs in 20 to 30 feet of water.  Best place to find them now is on the mid-lake structure.

Muskies are heating up on West Battle Lake in 10 to 20 feet of water.  That time of the year again!

Panfish continue to bite well - like they have all summer.

Weather is Cooling Down, but Fishing is Still Hot!

Posted by: Gary Peterson Updated: August 12, 2012 - 6:28 PM

Fish bite is still good in the Otter Tail Lake area.

Walleyes are in 20 to 30 feet of water.  In the evening, crank bait is working in 6 to 10 feet of water.  Bait of choice is night crawlers on harnesses or spinners and redtails on jigs or Lindy rigs.

Panfish and bass fishing has been excellent on most lakes.

Muskie fishing is starting to pick up as the water temps are starting to cool down.

Stop on in Ken's Tackle and we'll help guide you on the bait and place to enjoy fishing!

Otter Tail Lake - Still Producing

Posted by: Gary Peterson Updated: July 9, 2012 - 9:28 PM

Otter Tail Lake walleyes are still on a great bite.  Depths range 10 to 25 feet of water.  Crawlers and spinners are the best presentation with a purple or firetiger Shad Rap working best in evening in 5 to 10 feet of water.

Bass and sunfish continue to be active on all lakes.

Last weekend, the Lund Mania Tournament was on Otter Tail.  Great catches with Chris Roehl and Fred Sanchez coming out on top!  Congrats!  We appreciate you as our customers!
