We are receiving many good reports this fall, Fish Hook, Long and Potato continue to take the lead for walleyes.  Long is spotty though so head out early morning and late evening.  Try 28' with a crawler.  Panfish are biting on the Crow Wing chain as well as Itasca and Portage.  Don't forget the Hubbard First Responders have a fundraising calender out now.  Proceeds to assist in the purchase of a radio system.

Long Lake has been giving up some very nice fish lately, try alittle more shallow in the weed beds.  Potato, Island and Big Sand are also hitting well.  It is about a 50/50 on leeches or crawlers with a Lindy rig or spinner.  Fall hunting applications and licenses are now available.

Welcome 4th of July!

Try out Big Sand, Potato and Fish Hook 30' depths with redtails for walleyes. Long has kicked in as well. Portage lake is a giving up some pretty nice northerns this week.  Try Portage, Long Bottles, Potato and Island for some nice bass and panfish.

Walleye's are hitting on Potato, Island, Fish Hook and Eagle!  Strange enough we have heard of all day bites.  Try leeches, crawlers and fatheads. Reports of 20' to 30'.

Northerns have had a strong bite this spring.  Crawlers and spoons working quite well.

Bass have been crazy all spring, check the weed beds.  Spinnerbaits and crawlers are the lure of choice.

Our kids fishing contest starts this weekend, send in photos!

Mother nature provided opener with perfect weather!  Scattered reports on Saturday with more action on Sunday for Walleyes. 9' to 23' was the depth, shiner minnows and leeches seemed to be the bait of choice.

Crappies and sunfish were biting the best with small jigs and crappie minnows.

Northerns were also plenty active.

Park Rapids is very excited to host the Govenor's Opener 2013!  Come enjoy our quiant community.
