I don't recommend duck hunting in areas only accessible by boat. If your boat fails, a life preserver is not enough to save you. Averages … read more of two older fellows die in Minnesota each year when watercraft fails, usually death from exposure. No human being has the strength to move through a thousand yards of water, muck, mud, sedge clumps, bulrushes, rice or cattails. I hunt from solid bottom shore and I get ducks. Like this story though. I fell in the before, but no boat hunting for me.
