I am getting ready for the deer opener. The past two days I have been on the road between Minneapolis and International Falls. I noticed an increase in deer and car kills. That means the chase part of the rut is probably happening.

I hope it keeps up through opening weekend. Unfortunately, once a buck finds a receptive doe, they usually hole up in the brush until the doe has had enough. At that time, the buck will try to find another doe.
