The better fish came from deeper weed edges on East Rush from about 8-12ft. Soft plastics and 3/8oz Tru-Tungsten jigs in greens, blacks and browns were all good. Look for inside turns and steeper drops along those weed edges for the bass. The shallow bite was kind of slow, believed to be because of weeds dieing off and getting slimy.
On Knife lake, rocky banks, wood and docks all produced good quality fish. The only thing that did not work well on Sunday was the pad bite, mostly small fish. Once again 1/2 oz Black and Blue Tru-Tungsten jigs produced a lot of fish, chatterbait style lures also did well.
I ended up winning both tournaments with just under 15lbs each day. For full reports, check out my Bassin' Blog!
