"We're still doing official measuring. So everyone can bring their (deer) trophy in and have it measured for free by the Minnesota official measurers. We are going to be awarding prizes on a daily basis. At the end of each day, in eight different categories, we're going to be awarding prizes for the highest-grossing score in each of those categories. … It'll be split into the archery and firearms categories, and then there will be prizes for youth and adults."

Barclay Kruse, National Sports Center chief communications officer, on one of the highlights of the 33rd Annual Minnesota Deer Classic. The event is Friday through Sunday in the Schwan Center in Blaine. The Deer Classic also will feature an exhibit of some of the top outdoors photography in the United States.
