2 Bird-watching trek

Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, April 26, 7-9:30 a.m.

The refuge is hosting a series of bird-watching treks this spring, each exploring a different unit and a different facet of spring migration. This installment convenes at Old Cedar Avenue in Bloomington for a guided hike in search of waterfowl, thrushes and early spring warblers. 3 Prairie butterfly garden class

Whitewater State Park, April 26, 1-2 p.m.

Join Joel Dunnette from Zumbro Valley Audubon for a lesson on planting your own prairie wildflower garden. These gardens are known for blooming throughout the growing season. Located in Carver, the refuge’s Rapids Lake Unit boasts prairie, marshes and forested river bluffs. Meet a volunteer naturalist at the Rapids Lake Education and Visitor Center for a hike in search of waterfowl, thrushes and early spring warblers. 5 Family archery

Cleary Lake Regional Park, April 29, 5-7 p.m.
